Gator Picture Day: THIS Saturday! 7:30am
Check out the team pictures on the wall as you enter the pool. Isn’t is amazing to see how our swimmers have grown through the years?! This Saturday is team picture day. If you are new to the team, be sure to join us — you and your child will fondly look at the team picture for years to come.
Calling ALL Gators –time to smile!
Arrive: Saturday, June 15th, 7:30 am SHARP!! Order forms will be distributed when you arrive. Count on the Gator Grill for breakfast and coffee.
Wear: Team suit (green and black) or your team t-shirt. TEAM COLORS ONLY PLEASE.
Notes for Parents: Swimmers will be assisted by coaches to form a line and get into formation for team photo.
Individual and/or family pictures are available, too. Grandparents love these! And, the magnets look great on your refrigerator.
Bring your checkbook/credit card # in order to purchase TEAM PIC and/or INDIVIDUAL/FAMILY PICS.

Time Trials: THIS Saturday! 9:00am (warm ups right after team pic)
· All registered 8 & under swimmers (also known as our “lap swimmers” – this event is for you!
· Come out for picture day at 7:30 am. Following pictures, we will begin warm ups in the pool, likely divided into two groups. The first entering the water around 8:00-8:15; the second entering the water following. Do not take your swimmer from the pool following pictures – stay for time trials!!
· Time Trials will begin at 9:00 am sharp.
· Time Trials are run like a “normal” Saturday A meet. The order of events is free, back, breast and fly. There will be no Individual Medley or relays at Time Trials.
IF YOUR SWIMMER WILL NOT BE AT TIME TRIALS PLEASE GO TO THE “SWIMMER NOT AVAILABLE FOR MEET” form on the website.. WE NEED TO KNOW WHO WILL NOT BE THERE IN ORDER TO AVOID PRINTING CARDS FOR SWIMMERS NOT THERE
· There are two key differences to Time Trials and an A meet. First, we swim against our own team. Second, we need each swimmer to swim all four strokes, not just two. The exception to this is our 8 & Under swimmers. If they haven’t yet learned breast and fly, we will not have them swim it at time trials until they learn these strokes in practice.
· The purpose of Time Trials is to get a base or “seed” time for all of our lap swimmers in all of the strokes. These times, along with the B meet times from Monday June 17 will determine who swims at our first A meet. Our three fastest swimmers in each stroke are normally selected to swim at the A meet for each age group; each swimmer can only swim two events at the meet.
Volunteers – This Saturday – WE NEED YOU!!!
· Officials will be assigned by Doug Padrutt – dmpadrutt@gmail.com – he sent an email last night… be sure to contact him if you did not and would like to officiate.. We HAVE TO HAVE AT LEAST 3 TABLE WORKERS FOR TIME TRIALS – please go to www.foresthollow.com
· Timers – we are in desparate need for more timers. We need THREE timers per lane – or 18 timers in total for the full meet. We’ve divided the meet up into halves – so at least commit to ½ the meet. If we don’t have sufficient timers, it hurts all the kids, and we can’t run the meet. Go to www.foresthollow.com NOW and signup to time. If you’ve never timed before – no panic! We can teach you!!! As a matter of fact, we have a spot avaialable at every lane (6 lanes) for a “Timer in Training” so please sign up!!!!
· The Gator Grill will be up and running. Volunteers are needed here too. Plus, the coffee, breakfast goods, snacks and more will help get you in the mood for summer swim team fun. Contact Bill and Mary Kennedy with questions at marster22@yahoo.com
Gator Merchandise – Including Team T-shirts
Cara Dalrymple will be at Time Trials. She’ll have Gator t-shirts for those that registered early. The second order of team t-shirts is on its way, and we hope to have those T-shirts in by Time Trials. You may check with Cara on your t-shirt and swim cap status on Saturday. If you registered after June 6, your t-shirt we are unable to guarantee you a T-shirt as the second order was already placed. Wear green and be patient…all swimmers registered through June 6 – will get a t-shirt…and we will do our best to accomadate those that registered later than that.
