I hope all our Gators are having a wonderful August and enjoying the summer.
I have two reminders and two items to share regarding end of season activities especially for those of you that may not have been able to attend the FH pool party on Saturday, August 4, 2012.
Gator Videos – Thanks again to Alan Paterson and Alan Boyd for their dedication and hard work to capture the swim season for our team. They created wonderful videos/photo montages that were showcased at the party on the 4th. They have both generously offered to give copies of their DVD’s to anyone who would like one. If you would like copies of the DVD’s (they can provide you with copies of the 2011 & 2012 seasons), please send an email to artf2000@mac.com AND Aboyd9400@aol.com with the following information:
- Name
- Address
- DVDs requesting (2011 and/or 2012)
They will send these to you in the mail.
OR
If you would prefer to pick up the DVD’s, please state in the email if you will be at this Saturday’s pool party on September 1 or if you would like to make other arrangements with them for pick up.
2012 Individual All Stars Championship Meet – If you were not at the party on the 4th you may not know the Gator results of our ALL Star Swimmers. Here is a recap:
- Aaron Boyd – Boys 13/14 50 FLY & 100 IM – placed 6th for both events
- Jenelle Chollette – Girls 8 & under 25 Free* – placed 3rd
- Julienne Chollette Girls 9/10 50 Breast & 100 IM – placed 4th for 50 Breast & 10th for 100 IM
- Max Dailey – Boys 8 & under 25 Free & 25 Back – placed 15th for 25 Free & 17th for 25 Back
- Kyla Grigg – Girls 9/10 50 Free & 50 Back* – placed 7th for both events
- Rachel Shogren – Girls 11/12 50 Fly – qualified & seeded as 1st alternate and although did not get to swim came out to the meet ready to step in and was there to cheer her teammates on
*There were two Forest Hollow Pool records broken by our swimmers at this meet, they were:
Jenelle Chollette – Broke the Forest Hollow Girls 8 & under 25 free record with a time of 17.12
Kyla Grigg – Broke her own 2012 Forest Hollow Girls 9/10 50 Back record with a time of 40.19
Congratulations to these swimmers for ending their season in the top 18 for the NVSL!!!
A few reminders:
Awards/Trophies – If you or your swimmer were not at the awards ceremony in July, please come by the pool and pick up your swimmers awards. All unclaimed trophies are donated to other organizations at the end of the summer and not kept.
Winter Swim – An email was sent about registration for winter swim by our Winter Swim Coordinator Suzi Paletti. Please be sure to sign up and keep our Gators in the water this winter.
Thank you to all the Gator families, swimmers & volunteers for making the summer of 2012 a Gator Great Season!! Have a great Fall/Winter/Spring and I hope to see you again in Summer of 2013!
